The Regional Sales Development Manager (RSDM) will represent Regional Sales in the respective region and act as a liaison between Head Office and regional sales staff to achieve the overall sales goals and develop new clients. The RSDM provides direction, assistance and leadership to the sales field staff to ensure that the regional sales strategies of the airline are successfully implemented. The RSDM will be responsible for formulating objectives, implementing strategy and driving sales performance of different segments within the assigned region by taking the lead to identify new business opportunities, maximising revenue, drive and support revenue activities and actions – such as regional promotional activities across all sales channels – across the region to ensure continuous growth. The RSDM will need to interact with Regional Sales on a regular basis to achieve the above.
In this role , you will be involved in developing strategies to maximise revenue opportunities and in strengthening existing infrastructure including data mining/ manuals, processes and systems relevant to sales development. In addition, you will support the development, implementation and management of the overall Regional Sales budget and Business Plan to achieve the revenue budget. You will instigate sales improvement actions across the Network by supporting in the usage of the sales force reporting system, driving revenue from the Agents Incentive scheme and constants improvement in channel mix, segmentation, cost of sales and business opportunity evaluations.
You are also responsible for providing key sales data to the different stakeholders within Commercial Division which include Field Sales, Revenue Management, Corporate Sales, Corporate Planning and Marketing. You will support in the establishment and management of an effective communication channel between Regional Sales and the field to ensure clear delivery of commercial targets and objectives. You will drive constant improvement of inter-departmental process flows and support in enhancing the sales capabilities of the regional sales force.
You must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of Commercial airline experience. You must have good knowledge of Distribution Channels and has strong experience in dealing across numerous sales markets.
The key requirements for this role includes strong people management skills, budgetary and planning experience, strong influencing and negotiation skills as well as having a systematic approach to problem solving. You must have strong commercial sensibility, able to presuppose basic market requirements and make quick relevant decisions.
